A Beacon of Faith: The Story of Virgin Mary & Saint John Coptic Orthodox Church
Welcome to the Virgin Mary & Saint John Coptic Orthodox Church, a beacon of faith and history nestled in the heart of Bayonne, NJ. Our church is a part of the ancient Coptic Orthodox Church, which traces its roots back to Saint Mark the Evangelist in the 1st century AD. As the largest Christian church in Egypt and one of the oldest in the world, we are led by Pope Tawadros II, the 118th Pope of Alexandria. Our church extends its spiritual lineage to St. Mark the Evangelist and has a significant presence worldwide.
